Our first objective, should a business disruption occur, is safeguarding our employees and property so that we can quickly recover and resume business. Other objectives include assessing operations, protecting records and meeting our investors’ service and investment needs. Specifically, our plan addresses:
- Data backup and recovery
- Mission-critical systems
- Financial and operational assessments
- Alternative communications
- Alternate physical location of critical employees, suppliers, contractors, banks and counter-party impact
- Regulatory reporting
- Providing clients access to their funds and securities if we are unable to resume business.
The transfer agent backs up required records in a separate facility. While any business
disruption would create unique challenges, based on such factors as the time of day and severity of
the disruption, our objective is to restore operations, complete existing transactions and accept new
transactions and payments as soon as possible. Your orders and requests for funds could be delayed
during this period.
Disruptions can vary in scope and severity. In the event that a disruption occurs at our firm, or affects the business district, city or even the region in which we are located, we have will temporarily transfer our mission-critical operations to an off-site location outside of the affected area.
