Elon Musk said he is making progress on his ambitious tunneling plans for Los Angeles, according to Business Insider.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO said in June that he has had "promising conversations" with Eric Garcetti, the mayor of Los Angeles, about building a network of tunnels under Interstate 105 in L.A.
"Promising conversations with Mayor of L.A. regarding tunnel network that would carry cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Permits harder than technology," Musk said in a tweet.
The official launch of Musk’s tunnel company, aptly named The Boring Company, occurred in April. The company's ultimate goal is to build as many as 30 layers of tunnels underground that can transport cars on an electric skate and even accommodate a Hyperloop. (Source: Business Insider)
